Our history

Sociedad Azucarera Larios Patrimonio, S.L., (Salsa Patrimonio) was founded in 1994 under the name CM Administración de Inmuebles, S.L., until it changed to its current name in 2000. The company is related to Sociedad Azucarera Larios S.L., which has its origins in the long track record of the Larios family from Málaga.

In 1831, the incorporation of the company Larios Hermanos y Cia, founded by Martín Larios y Herreros, marked the start of the Larios family’s business activity in the city of Málaga. At the beginning, they created small businesses, and in the 40s they made the great leap to the sugar and textile industries, adopting the model of the English industrial revolution.

Throughout the whole of the 19th century, the Larios family invested in almost all economic sectors, both industry and trade. They were founding members of Banco de Málaga, giving it financial support to all its business activities. They participated in large enterprises such as the development of Ferrocarril Málaga-Córdoba, Companñía de Seguros and Sociedad de Vapores.

In 1890, Sociedad Azucarera Larios, S.A. was incorporated, grouping together all the sugar refineries of Málaga capital, the east coast of Málaga and Motril, with 14 sugar mills and over 10,000 hectares of sugarcane crops. This activity ended with the sale of the last refinery in 1976.

Adapted to the 21st century, and with over one hundred years of business experience, it has diversified into areas such as real estate development, urban and rustic leases and farmland.

Salsa Patrimonio, groups together all Grupo Sociedad Azucarera Larios’s real estate rental properties. Sociedad Azucarera Larios Patrimonio S.L.’s main activity is the property management and urban lease activity, with the mission of generating value for its property portfolio in Madrid and Málaga.
