traditional crop in the area of V\u00e9lez-M\u00e1laga.<\/p>\n<p>The design and d\u00e9cor of the shopping centre are based, therefore, on this activity, including ornamental features that reproduce the machinery used in the old sugar mills.<br \/>It was designed by the prestigious architectural studio Arquitectos Bernar-Sainz de Vicu\u00f1a in Madrid.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-88365dd elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"88365dd\" V\u00e9lez-M\u00e1laga, on the eastern Costa del Sol, with direct access from the A-7 motorway.<\/p>\n<p>It has a gross leasable area of 43,228 m\u00b2 premium commercial units available with more than 120 stores, 1 hypermarket, a 12-screen cinema multiplex, and a wide range of services.<br \/>Fitness centre, free Wi-Fi, playroom and kids\u2019 club, breastfeeding room, baby changing, outdoor children&#8217;s play area, rest areas, free parking, reserved spaces for disabled people, motorcycles and family vehicles, ATM machine, wheelchair loan, cardiovascular resuscitation point, post box, lost property service, security and surveillance, free taxi call, information point, complaints and suggestions, service station.<\/p>\n<p>In 2020, El Ingenio was remodelled for its 20th anniversary adapting with the times and the new reality of the market, which demands larger commercial units and new complementary activities for an enhanced customer experience.<\/p>\n<p>Creating 700 direct jobs and 500 indirect jobs, El Ingenio is the largest employer in the town of V\u00e9lez-M\u00e1laga, visited by more than 9 million people a year, with half of these &#8211; 4.5 million &#8211; coming from outside the town itself, creating synergies and giving a strong boost to the local economy.<\/p>\n<p>Due to its unique conception and philosophy, the warmth and comfort of its facilities, and its
