Lazcano 8 obtains the BREEAM®ES Housing 2020 – Rehabilitation certification.

At Salsa Patrimonio, we celebrate a new achievement in our commitment to excellence and sustainability: the rehabilitation of the Lazcano 8 building, located in the center of Málaga, has been recognized with the BREEAM®ES Housing 2020 – Rehabilitation certification, achieving the rating of Very Good.

This distinction reinforces the value of a unique project: the transformation of a building originally intended for residential use into a modern coliving housing space, designed according to the highest standards of sustainability and efficiency.

The BREEAM®ES certification, one of the most prestigious sustainable building labels worldwide, evaluates the environmental performance of buildings at various stages of the project. In its Housing 2020 – Rehabilitation category, the recognition is indefinite, making Lazcano 8 a benchmark for long-term sustainability, compared to other types that require periodic renewals.

The project has been evaluated in key areas, with outstanding results: energy (74%), transport (73%), materials (67%), land use and ecology (89%), and water (56%), among others. These scores reflect the integration of environmental criteria into every design and execution decision, achieving a balance between innovation, functionality, and respect for the urban environment.

With this certification, Lazcano 8 becomes a model of sustainable rehabilitation and urban regeneration in Málaga, contributing to a more efficient, healthy city aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals. The recognition not only endorses the technical quality of the project but also highlights the collaboration of architects, builders, and specialized consultants who made its success possible.

At Salsa Patrimonio, we reaffirm our commitment to the development of real estate projects that combine excellence, innovation, and environmental responsibility. The achievement of the BREEAM®ES Housing 2020 certification for Lazcano 8 strengthens our vision for the future: to create buildings that generate value for our clients and society, reduce environmental impact, and ensure a positive and sustainable legacy over time.
