The El Ingenio Shopping Centre, owned by Salsa Patrimonio and managed by MVGM, closes the 2025 financial year with a “very positive” balance, achieving a new all-time record in both footfall and sales.
El Ingenio surpassed 9.2 million visitors, representing a 3.4% increase compared to 2024, a growth rate that exceeds the main benchmark indicators of the retail sector in Spain. While El Ingenio continues to show a clearly favourable trend in visitor attraction, sector indicators reveal a more moderate behaviour: the ShopperTrak index reported an increase of around 2.5%, and the Cadlan index remained practically flat, at around 0.0%.
These figures highlight the centre’s strong relative performance compared to the wider market, reinforcing its competitive position and capacity to attract visitors in a context of contained sector growth.
Sales also grew by 7.1% compared to the previous year, positioning El Ingenio as one of the most important retail destinations in Andalusia.
Throughout 2025, El Ingenio celebrated its 25th anniversary—a milestone that showcases the centre’s evolution over the past two and a half decades and reaffirms its role as an economic, social and cultural driver for the region. During this period, the centre strengthened its commitment to digitalisation, customer experience and family-oriented leisure, maintaining its original identity while evolving towards a more sustainable, interactive and consumer-focused model.
All of this confirms that El Ingenio is more than just a shopping centre: it is a meeting point, a social and economic catalyst, and a space in constant evolution.
